　　富强（陈锦鸿 饰）是一名保险经理人，某日，工作的原因令他遇见了名为谷若晞（吴美珩 饰）的银行职员，两人新仇旧恨一起算，闹得很不愉快。没过多久，谷若晞竟然调到了富强所在的公司，两人成为了同事，再加上富强不成器的弟弟富勤（马国明 饰）喜欢上了谷若晞的表妹伍美琪（江芷妮 饰），使得这一对冤家之间的关系犹如水火。

Led by Oscar nominee Demián Bichir (A Better Life), the series also stars Tony winner Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls, Power), Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot), Madison Taylor Baez (Selena: The Series), Kevin Carroll (Snowfall), Ian Foreman (Merry Wish-Mas) and Jacob Buster (Colony). Award-winning playwright, writer and producer Andrew Hinderaker (Away, PENNY DREADFUL), who wrote the pilot, will serve as showrunner and executive produce along with Seith Mann (HOMELAND, FreeRayshawn, Blindspotting), who directed the pilot and will also direct additional episodes.

　　故事发生在民国初年，天下局势不定，四处兵荒马乱，而独有一为秀美风光所环绕的乌茶镇觅得短暂而珍贵的宁静。当地茶商大户谭老爷抱着遗憾撒手人寰，留下谭夫人（刘雪华 饰）独自支撑整个家族和产业。谭家留学归来的公子铭凯（刘恺威 饰）途中遭人绑架，幸得仗义的高秋朗出手搭救，却不知自己与对方有着怎样难以化解的怨恨和与渊源。谭夫人希望儿子担当起祖上大业，并迎娶青梅竹马、门当户对的佟家小姐丝若（吕佳容 饰）为妻。然铭凯独独中意偶然邂逅的茶农女孩如意（杨幂 饰）。由此便引发了门第、亲情、友情和爱情的百般纠葛。
